So a couple of months ago I read in Cosmo--I think--that the average bride gains 20lbs in the first year of marriage! Holy good grief!!! My thoughts are that we women put so much time and energy in losing weight pre-wedding so that we look stunning in our dresses combined with the other pre-wedding stress that once it's all over we want to relax a little and enjoy real food again.
Pre-wedding I only had solid foods once a day and was exercising five days week. And then for our honeymoon we went on a cruise. I don't know if you've heard, but cruises have it out for your waste-line. They are simply vicious .
Anyways, I digress. Back to the random tidbit from Cosmo--I didn't want to the be the average newlywed. I got close, but thankfully, never made it. But none the less action had to be taken. So I joined a gym a couple of months ago and have been attending Zumba classes twice a week. And they are so super fun!!! I love it. I look like a complete spaz, I know, but I'm having tons of fun. So I encourage you to give it a try if you haven't already (I know I'm a bit behind the trend on this one).

I'm going to try zumba in the winter months that I can't go running outside anymore. I've heard that it is kick-ass. Um, literally! :)
