We were introduced by Brady's aunt. I had been friends with members of his family in New Mexico for several years, going to high school and college together and working together. Brady grew up in Arizona.
After our first several dates in September 2008 we started doing the long distance thing. It sucked, but we were fortunate enough to get to see each other every 2nd or 3rd week.
Brady proposed at the end of February and we were married Sept 26, 2009. The day after, I moved to Phoenix and began my new life as a wife.
My first task, spiffy up the Bachelor Pad Brady called home. Second task, adjust to life in Arizona. And this is where I will share the lessons I learn along the way.

The Beginning
I have always hated introductions. In college all the introductions to my papers were written last. But the thing about blogging is that you can't hop around. You have to write in at least a loose form of sequential order. So here is my intro to my new blog...but please bare in mind that this is the weakest point in my writing abilities. Stick around and I promise I'll try to make it better.
My first blog was started shortly before my year in England where I was a part of Young Adults in Global Mission serving in Buxton, England at a women's shelter (http://cnalex-england.blogspot.com/). During the last few months of my wedding planning I was introduced to a bigger world of blogging. It started with style blogs (I love my closet!), and then expanded to blogs about decorating, DIY home renovations, recipes, and life in general. One day while driving around with one of my bridesmaids I decided that I could do that too--once I got married. Being a newlywed makes me a little more interesting--in my opinion at least. So here it is. My blog. I'm hoping that it will be about my journey in marriage, but we'll see how it evolves.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you're willing to take this journey with me.
